DAY 1
Depart USA
Today we depart for our flights to Peru with meals and beverages served aloft.
DAY 2
Arrive Lima
This morning, explore the spiritual heritage of Lima with visits to the Sanctuary of Santa Rosa de Lima, Church of Santo Domingo, and Church of the Nazarenes. After lunch, continue discovering Lima’s colonial heart with stops at Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, and the city’s most iconic civic and religious buildings, including the Government Palace, Cathedral Basilica, and Municipal Palace.
DAY 3
Depart from Lima
After breakfast, fly to the ancient Inca capital of Cusco, then continue to the peaceful Sacred Valley. Surrounded by towering mountains and fertile fields, this area was once the heartland of Inca civilization. Acclimate to the altitude with time to rest or explore before heading to the impressive ruins of Ollantaytambo, a terraced fortress with breathtaking views and deep historical roots. Climbing to the top is optional but offers rewarding vistas.
DAY 4
Sacred Valley
This morning, board a scenic train to Machu Picchu Pueblo, gateway to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Nestled in lush jungle mountains, Machu Picchu is an awe-inspiring archaeological site believed to be a royal estate of the Inca emperor. Learn about its rediscovery by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and walk among its ancient stone structures. After soaking in this unforgettable experience, return to Ollantaytambo by train.
DAY 5
Depart to Cusco
Today’s journey begins at the salt flats of Maras, where thousands of shallow pools are used for salt extraction—a practice dating back to pre-Inca times. Then continue to Moray, a fascinating series of circular terraces believed to have served as an agricultural research station. After lunch, explore the impressive hilltop fortress of Sacsayhuaman before arriving in Cusco. Enjoy a panoramic introduction to this historic city, once the vibrant capital of the Inca Empire.
DAY 6
Cuzco
This morning we visit the Andean Baroque Circuit, including the beautiful churches of Andahuaylillas and Huaro. In the afternoon, Visit the Coricancha, or “Temple of the Sun,” constructed under Emperor Pachacutec and later used as the foundation for the Santo Domingo Convent. Mass celebration will be held at the Santo Domingo Church. In the afternoon we transfer to the airport for our flights to Lima where we have dinner and overnight.
DAY 7
Depart to Brazil
Depart Peru and fly to Brazil’s bustling metropolis, São Paulo. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel for dinner and rest.
DAY 8
Brazil
Begin with a brief city tour of São Paulo, Brazil’s financial and cultural capital. Then, journey to the holy city of Aparecida, home to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Aparecida—the largest Marian shrine in the world after St. Peter’s Basilica. This magnificent sanctuary honors the patroness of Brazil and draws millions of pilgrims each year. Spend time in prayer and reflection as you explore this sacred space.
DAY 9
Porto Itaguacu
Start the day with a visit to Porto Itaguacu, where the image of Our Lady of Aparecida was miraculously found by fishermen in 1717. Then visit the Basilica Nova for further prayer and discovery. After lunch, we’ll travel to Rio de Janeiro, a city famed for its breathtaking beauty and vibrant spirit.
DAY 10
Rio de Janeiro
Begin the day with a panoramic city tour through Rio’s historic downtown, including the famous Selarón Steps. After lunch, ascend Sugarloaf Mountain via cable car for stunning views. In the afternoon, we visit the modern Metropolitan Cathedral of São Sebastião and celebrate Mass.
DAY 11
Rio de Janeiro
This morning, ascend Corcovado Mountain to see the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer, arms outstretched over Rio. Whether by minibus or scenic train ride through Tijuca National Forest, the journey is as memorable as the destination. At the summit, take in panoramic views of the city, beaches, and bay below. This afternoon, explore the iconic shores of Copacabana and Ipanema, soaking in the local charm and ocean breeze.
DAY 12
Return Home
Today we board our return flights home with memories and keepsakes that will last a lifetime.
