DAY 1
Depart California
Today we take our flights to Anchorage, Alaska. Upon arrival, meet your private motor coach and transfer to Whittier, traveling through scenic Alaskan landscapes along the way. Upon arrival in Whittier, check in to your hotel.
DAY 2
Whittier
After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour of Whittier. Learn about the town’s unique history, originally built as a military port during World War II, and see its picturesque harbor, historic buildings, and scenic viewpoints overlooking Prince William Sound. Time is provided for lunch before transferring to the pier to embark on your Alaska cruise in the evening.
DAY 3
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
Today will be spent onboard as we cruise Hubbard Glacier. The Hubbard Glacier is the largest tidewater glacier in North America. Its awe-inspiring, turquoise-colored face towers nearly 400 feet tall, 250 feet of which are underwater, while its icebergs are often three or four stories high. At nearly six miles wide where the ice meets the ocean and 76 miles long, viewing this massive glacial mass is an experience not soon forgotten. As you cruise near the glacier, keep an eye out for the region’s rich variety of wildlife, from bald eagles to harbor seals, orcas and humpback whales.
DAY 4
Icy Strait Point
oday the ship cruises through Glacier Bay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic glaciers, snowcapped mountains, and pristine wilderness. From onboard, enjoy panoramic views of massive glaciers, icy fjords, and abundant wildlife as the ship slowly navigates this protected area. Later in the day, arrive in Icy Strait Point, where you will disembark the ship and enjoy free time to explore at your own pace. This area offers opportunities to experience Alaska’s natural beauty, coastal scenery, and local culture. Optional shore excursions are available through the cruise line.
DAY 5
Juneau
This morning we arrive in Juneau, the capital of Alaska, accessible only by air or sea. Time is available to explore the historic downtown area, browse local shops, or visit museums highlighting Alaska’s history and native heritage. Optional excursions may include glacier viewing, whale watching, or scenic transportation offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and waterways.
DAY 6
Skagway
oday we dock in Skagway, a charming town that preserves the spirit of the Klondike Gold Rush. Stroll along historic streets lined with restored buildings, visit local shops, or learn about the area’s role in Alaska’s early history. Optional excursions may include scenic railway journeys, mountain drives, or guided historical tours.
DAY 7
Ketchikan
Arrive in Ketchikan, often referred to as Alaska’s “First City.” Known for its rich Native Alaskan culture and scenic waterfront, the town offers opportunities to view traditional totem poles, explore the historic Creek Street area, or enjoy local arts and crafts. Time is available to explore at your own pace or participate in optional activities.
DAY 8
Cruise Inside Passage AL
Cruising through the Alaskan Inside Passage is a breathtaking experience that immerses you in the raw, untouched beauty of nature. As you glide through calm waters flanked by towering, snow-capped mountains and dense evergreen forests, you’ll witness a symphony of wildlife, from majestic whales breaching in the distance to playful seals basking on rocky shores. Glaciers gleam like diamonds in the sunlight, their icy blue hues contrasting with the lush greenery of the surrounding landscape. Each turn reveals a new marvel, whether it’s a cascading waterfall tumbling down rugged cliffs or a bald eagle soaring overhead. The serene atmosphere and pristine wilderness create a sense of awe and tranquility, making every moment spent cruising through the Alaskan Inside Passage an unforgettable adventure.
DAY 9
Disembark Vancouver & Victoria
Today we disembark our ship in Vancouver. After we disembark, we drive to Victoria Island where we visit Butchart Gardens. Nestled on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, is a horticultural wonder spanning 55 acres. Its meticulously designed landscapes captivate visitors with themed gardens showcasing vibrant blooms and tranquil settings. From the serene Japanese Garden to the fragrant Rose Garden and the romantic Italian Garden, each area offers a unique sensory experience. Hidden pathways, charming gazebos, and enchanting fountains invite exploration, while the meticulous craftsmanship and natural beauty create an unforgettable journey into botanical paradise. A visit to Butchart Gardens promises moments of serenity and wonder amidst the splendor of meticulously curated flora. We return to Vancouver to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 10
Return Home
Today we board our return flights home with memories and keepsakes that will last a lifetime.
