Preparing your journey
Travel Info

Packing wisely will help make your pilgrimage more comfortable and enjoyable. Since baggage allowances vary by airline and destination, we encourage all travelers to review their airline's baggage policy before departure.
Most international airlines include at least one checked bag and one carry-on bag; however, baggage allowances, weight limits, and fees vary by airline, fare class, and destination. Travelers are responsible for any excess baggage fees or additional airline charges.
Please refer to your airline's official website for the most up-to-date baggage policies before traveling.
For your comfort and convenience, we recommend bringing:
One checked suitcase.
One carry-on bag.
One personal item, such as a purse, backpack, or small tote.
Packing light will make traveling between airports, hotels, and pilgrimage sites much easier.
Pilgrims should be able to manage and transport their own luggage throughout the pilgrimage. While hotel porters may be available at some properties, this service cannot be guaranteed at every destination. You should be comfortable lifting and moving your luggage between airports, hotels, motor coaches, trains (where applicable), and cruise terminals.
For your security, we recommend:
Placing identification tags on all luggage.
Keeping medications, valuables, travel documents, and electronics in your carry-on bag.
Using TSA-approved luggage locks when appropriate.
Considering an Apple AirTag, Tile, or similar luggage tracker for added peace of mind.
Although every reasonable effort is made to safeguard luggage during the pilgrimage, Pax Via Tours & Travel cannot be responsible for lost, stolen, delayed, or damaged baggage or personal belongings. We recommend that travelers carry appropriate travel insurance that includes baggage protection.
If you have questions regarding your airline's baggage allowance, prohibited items, or luggage fees, please visit your airline's official website for the most current information before your departure.
